Artist's Statement

It has always been a passion of mine to produce paintings that give pleasure to the viewer. The most recent collection, also the first full collection is the Bling Art Collection which portrays the urban use (or misuse) of large amounts of jewellery.

My inspiration for these painting come mainly from observation of this urban culture. The jewellery used is not necessarily real and the wearer cares mostly about the 'bling factor' or the visibility and size of the jewels. From gold to silver, pearls to diamonds (ice), the bling phenomenon is hear to stay and I could think of no other way of celebrating it than through art.

The signature piece of this collection is 'Pearly White' - This portrait shows a woman in a provocative head turn pose. She is draped in pearls over her bare neck and you can see one of her pearl earrings. She is also giving us a toothy half smile as she gazes on.

I also paint quite traditional pieces of landscape scenes as well as a few abstract pieces. My favourite medium is acrylic on canvas.
